5 Songs I Am Into Right Now

The Presets- Together
From the album Apocalypso (2008)
The Australian electronic duo comes back with one of the most underrated dance songs of the year. For the longest time I couldn't figure out who the song was by. Think Interpol making a song with MSTRKRFT.

Sound Team- Your Eyes Are Liars
From the album Movie Monster (2006)
Six buddies from Austin, TX create an album using electronic sounds mixed with run of the mill 80s and indie rock. A great track to listen to before, during and after going out for the night. This was always my favorite part of their live show, unfortunately, they broke up shortly after the record was finally released.

The Ponys- Turn The Lights Out
From the album Turn The Lights Out (2007)
So I had to show a little love to the Chicago boys for a second. Chicago's version of the garage band/indie rocker. If you are unsure of what their sound is like or what their "cred" is like, this was their first album that they released with Matador.

Tegan and Sara- Time Running
From the album If It Was You (2002)
My love for the sisters Quin is far from a new idea. I am a huge fan of their work. This is one of their more rocking songs that I have ever heard. Tegan takes the lead in this one that seems to get played more than once everytime it comes up on my ipod.

Death From Above 1979- Do It (Live)
From the EP Heads Up (2002)
Canada's duo of Sabastien Grainger (Sabastien Grainger & the Mountains) and Jesse F Keller (MSTRKRFT) kick out another raucous jam. In this effort, the normal shouting vocals from Grainger turn into a synth voice half way through the song and end with the cheers of a crowd... one of the better songs the duo did before calling it quits.
