The Rock Ridge Music GHIDRAH – the music is FIRE!
Happy New Year to all GHIDRAH site partners! The first GHIDRAH of '08 looks back at the best of '07:
Bright as California sunshine, Collective Soul's “Hollywood” features an undeniable melody with tinges of ’80s pop. Singer/ songwriter Ed Roland puts a bouncy energy to his sly lyrics that compare Tinsel Town to a naughty girl (or is it the other way around?): “Yeah, Hollywood/ You know I love you more than one man should/ Yeah, Hollywood/ kiss me, kiss me good.”
Daughtry had a breakout year in 07, powered early in the year by the infectious "It's Not Over". Daughtry's self-titled debut was the top selling rock album of the year, and we look forward to more from him in 08.
The Ike Reilly Assassination had an insane amount of press coverage for "We Belong To The Staggering Evening", and hit hundreds of "best of 2007" lists: http://www.rockridgemusic.com/assets/ira_bestof07.jpg Don't believe the hype? Listen to "Valentine's Day In Juarez", a WXPN/Philly top pick.
